Sugarloaf Animal Hospital

September - Spring has fallen upon us
Another month has passed us by, but it's the end of the winter months, spring is well under way. A little earlier than expected for some. We have been very busy preparing for the Spring months ahead. We often have lots of wildlife come in to the hospital, babies that haven't quite got the handle on flight, or injured animals that commonly have been prayed upon by other animals.
Be mindful that when the weather is warming up and all the cold blooded creatures are starting to emerge. Protect the lizards, particularly blue tongues that may be hidding in your yard, provide places for then to hide and escape from predators, at this time, mainly dogs and cats. With lizards there are snakes, so dogs out on walks, keep out of bushy areas, keep on lead.

Please contact our hospital if you find any native animals injured.
